TONY PULIS has made a shock move to sign Morgan Schneiderlin.
The West Brom boss is prepared to compete with Everton for the Manchester United midfielder.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was in pole position to snap up the France midfielder and Goodison officials have made contact with their United counterparts.
But Pulis is also interested in offering the 27-year-old regular first-team football.
United are intent on recouping the £24million they paid Southampton for Schneiderlin two summers ago.
But Everton and West Brom will attempt to negotiate a cheaper deal for the midfielder, whose departure would free up room in Jose Mourinho’s squad.
Schneiderlin has found himself on the fringes at Old Trafford and has not started a Premier League game this season.
Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera are all ahead of him in the pecking order and it looks like he will need a move to secure regular games.
