Manchester United and Everton transfer news: Ronald Koeman set to sell Ross Barkley to fund double-swoop for Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin

Toffees boss actively shopping England midfielder in bid to bring United outcast duo to Goodison Park in the January window

RONALD KOEMAN is actively pursuing a sale of star midfielder Ross Barkley in order to fund a double-swoop for Manchester United outcasts Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Toffees boss, 53, has slapped a £30million price-tag on England man Barkley's head and is urging rival managers to snap up the deal.

But it is thought Mauricio Pochettino is keen on a move for Barkley as he looks to add more quality in his midfield to support an at times isolated Harry Kane, giving Koeman hope that he could finally move for long-term targets Depay and Schneiderlin.

The move is expected to spark a merry-go-round in the January window with a host of teams - all under new management in the summer - looking to further place their imprint on the squad.

United boss Jose Mourinho and table-topping Chelsea - under Antonio Conte - are set to do battle to land Roma's German defender Antonio Rudiger.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Liverpool may enter that race as they seek much-needed defensive reinforcements.

There are also murmurs coming out of the London Stadium that Slaven Bilic is set to give up on Andy Carroll and flog him in January.
