Mauricio Pochettino warns Tottenham to be on full alert for Southampton star Jay Rodriguez
Mindful ex-Southampton boss determined his return to St Mary's won't be wrecked by his old striker JR
MAURICIO POCHETTINO has warned his Tottenham stars about being shot by JR when they visit Southampton.
The Spurs boss fears the return to former club Saints could be ruined by his old striker Jay Rodriguez.
The 27-year-old frontman’s final game under Pochettino came in April 2014 when he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against Manchester City.
It took him 16 months to battle back to fitness and first-team football.
But despite several other niggling injuries since, Rodriguez looked back to his best as he bagged a brilliant brace in Saints’ 3-1 win at Bournemouth last week.
