Jordan Amavi wanted in China for £25million…but Aston Villa owner insists he’s going nowhere

ASTON VILLA have rejected have rejected a bid of £25million for left-back Jordan Amavi to join the moneybags Chinese Super League.
Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has stood firm and dismissed what would have been a record fee for a Championship player who is also wanted by Liverpool.
It is not stipulated which club wanted the former France Under 21 international.
In addition, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be very interested in the player, while Marseille are understood to be preparing an offer worth around £8.5million for Amavi.
But Dr Xia, responding to this on Twitter, Xia posted:
'Don’t bother reading this. I can tell we have rejected an offer of £25m for @JordanAmavi. He will grow bigger at @AVFCOfficial!'
The 22-year-old has impressed for Villa after suffering a serious knee injury last season.
