SOUTHAMPTON will be without two key players when West Brom Albion visit St Mary's Stadium in the Premier League on New Year's Eve.

Claude Puel's side will still be without top scorer Charlie Austin as he prepares for shoulder surgery in America, and the suspended Nathan Redmond, who was sent off in the 4-1 thumping to Tottenham.

The omission of those key players will most certainly provide a much needed boost to West Brom. The Baggies fell to a third defeat in four against Arsenal on Boxing Day, but are eager to return to winning ways.

But Saints must bounce back from their heavy home defeat, just their second in their last 14 games this season.

SunSport prediction

Southampton winger Nathan Redmond was shown a red card in the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday - and so will miss the visit of West Brom. With Charlie Austin also out with a long term shoulder injury, Saints are relying on in-form Jay Rodriguez. SunSport predict a 1-0 for Claude Puel's side.
