The Real Madrid superstar admitted he hopes Cristiano Jr will become a forward like his dad.

Ronaldo, 31, won the Ballon d'Or earlier this month after a stunning year that saw him lead Real Madrid to the Champions League and Portugal to Euro 2016.

The star says he hopes his son, now six, can make it in the pro game.

Ronaldo told Egyptian TV channel ON E TV: "Of course I want my son to be a footballer player like his daddy.

"I know it's a big challenge, it's not easy.

"But he will be whatever he wants, I won't make pressure.

"I will push him a little bit to be a football player. Not to be a goalkeeper, I want him to be a striker.

"But he will be whatever he wants. I'm not worried."

Ronaldo has previously shared videos on his Instagram account of him practising free-kicks and going through workouts with his son.

Ronaldo and his son are pretty much set for life after documents released revealed he earned almost £200million in salary and sponsorship last year.

Super agent Jorge Mendes also confirmed that the star turned down an offer to join the Chinese Super League - that would have handed him £85m in wages alone.
