THE Sir Alex Ferguson era is well and truly over, 13 Premier titles in 26 years will never be matched again and boy do the Manchester United supporters know it.
David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal couldn't muster a title challenge with the Dutchman missing out on fourth spot last season which cost him his job as Jose Mourinho stepped in to take control.
It hasn't all been plain sailing for the 'Special One' as the title looks well and truly out of Man United's reach and the fans are now clinging on to hope that they can finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
Man United fans have been spoiled in the Premier League era and this is new territory for them, where they are not the dominate force in the top-flight.
With the change in fortune comes the change in ambition for the United fans, and when asked by the in house club channel all seemed to be content finishing in the top four.
One supporter was to the point with noting but getting back in to the top four on his mind: ''I hope we get in the Champions League, top four.''
Some fans though still long for the title, a trophy that has the Manchester United name engraved on it 13 times: ''Carry on the good form and get in the top four, at least top four , but I would love to win the league really.''
It has been a real fall from grace for the Red Devils, three time European champions now playing in Europe's second rate competition the, Europa League.

One supporter clearly wants his team back playing the big boys of the continent saying: ''Qualify for Europe, proper Europe.''
United shouldn't dismiss the Europa League though, if they were to miss out on qualifying for the Champions League then they would qualify if they won the secondary competition.
Another die hard United fan believes the red half of Manchester should be competing for Europe's biggest prize: ''Hopefully get in the top four, get in the Champions League again where we belong.''
Glory hunter? Who knows, but this young Devil remembers United winning the Premier League all the time, and clearly hates not being anywhere near the trophy again as it looks like to be the fourth season without being champions: ''To win the league, we used to win it all the time, but I think we will win it next year.''
