LEICESTER and England starlet Demarai Gray has been punished by the club for foolishly posting a video online of him apparently inhaling laughing gas just hours after another disappointing defeat.

The 20-year-old Foxes winger decided to let his hair - and balloon - down on Boxing Day after his side was turned over by Everton.

Far from trying to hide his use of the legal but dangerous drug, the £20,000-a-week England under-21 ace posted a video a clip of him at it on the internet with a series of dopey captions.

The former Birmingham prodigy labelled himself a “pro-partier” and informed his Snapchat followers that “lifesrealgoodonthisside”.

But King Power bosses have revealed that he will be face disciplinary action for the mindless actions.

A Leicester spokesman said: “We expect the highest standards of behaviour from our players. Demarai has accepted the internal disciplinary process.”

The reigning Premier League champions have struggled in the league this season but the flagging form of last season’s stars such as Riyad Mahrez has helped Gray make 13 appearances already.

The youngster is not the first Premier League star to be snapped using nitrous oxide with Spurs’ Kyle Walker, Man City’s Raheem Sterling and West Brom outcast Saido Berahino all getting caught on camera.

When inhaled using a balloon, the gas gives a short burst of euphoria but nothing can pose a serious risk to users' health.
