Manchester United transfer news: Everton have £19million bid rejected for Morgan Schneiderlin with West Brom ready to make improved offer
Flop midfielder has been told he is free to leave this month - but only if United recoup the £24m they paid for him
MANCHESTER UNITED have rejected a £19million offer from Everton for Morgan Schneiderlin – as West Brom prepare to make an improved offer.
The French midfielder has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford after joining from Southampton last summer and boss Jose Mourinho has made it clear he is not in his plans.
Schneiderlin, 27, has been told he is free to leave the club this January – if United can recoup the £24m they spent on him.

Toffees manager Ronald Koeman – who worked with Schneiderlin at Saints – has made the star his primary target this transfer window.
Goodison chiefs are confident of securing a deal and Merseyside is believed to be the player’s preferred destination.
But they are reluctant to meet United’s valuation for a player who has seen just 11 minutes of action in the Premier League so far this season.

Schneiderlin has made just 32 appearances and scored one goal for United over the past 18-months, mostly as a substitute.
He spent seven years with Southampton and helped them earn successive promotions from League One to the Premier League.
Everton are also keen on Schneiderlin’s team-mate Memphis Depay who has also flopped at United since joining for £25m in 2015.
