Who is Paulo Dybala? Barcelona and Real Madrid transfer target who is tipped for greatness – here is what we know about the Argentina striker
Argentina and Juventus forward has the world at his feet as both La Liga giants fight over his signature
PAULO DYBALA is one of the most in-demand footballers on the planet.
It is not often a player has the dilemma of picking between Real Madrid and Barcelona - but that is what Dybala faces.
Here, SunSport runs the rule over one of the world's hottest prospects.
Who is Paulo Dybala and which clubs has he played for?
Paulo Dybala is a 23-year-old Argentine striker who plays for Juventus.
He began his career at Cordoba-based club Instituto in the Argentinian second division in 2011.
At the end of the season - in which Instituto finished third - he signed for Palermo in a deal believed to be worth £10million.
The club were relegated in his first campaign but Dybala was part of the team as they won Serie B by 14 points.
And it was his 13 goals for Palermo which saw him turn the heads of Italian giants Juventus in 2015.
The Bianconeri came calling and Palermo could not resist a £23m sum for a player who was just 21 at the time.
In a league-dominating Juve team, Dybala bagged 23 goals in all competitions in his first season in Turin.
It was also during the 2015-16 season in which the Argentine made his first senior appearance for the national team, replacing Carlos Tevez in attack against Paraguay in a World Cup 2018 qualifier.
After winning Serie A and the Coppa Italia, Real Madrid and Barcelona have begun vying for his signature.
- Instituto, 2011-12
- Palermo, 2012-2014
- Juventus, 2015-
How much will Paulo Dybala cost potential suitors?
Paulo Dybala could cost more than world record transfer Paul Pogba's £89m fee.
SunSport exclusively revealed in January that Real Madrid had offered £77m AND Alvaro Morata for the striker.
But the Turin club have asked for Toni Kroos or Luka Modric ON TOP of that astronomical amount.
Juve would surely be raking in over £150M in cash and players combined should Real cater to their demands.
What is Paulo Dybala's style of play?
Dybala bears some similarities with Lionel Messi.
His control on the ball is phenominal and he has the ability to twist and turn in an instant to beat an opposition man.
And if he cannot get around a player, Dybala will not hesitate to nutmeg them instead.
As well as his exceptional dribbling skills, the striker can pick a pass and is always looking to go forward.
Dybala is also excellent on free-kicks and will trouble any keeper with his left boot if given a shot on goal.
But at 5ft 8in, the Argentine lacks a physical presence in the air.
