Barcelona’s Brazilian superstar has failed to find the back of the net since his 89th-minute strike in the 4-0 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League back on October 19.

His dismal performance during the damaging 1-1 draw at Villarreal was compounded by the fact the lost the ball a whopping 30 times.

Neymar finished third in the standings for the 2015 Ballon d’Or — and was expected to mount a serious challenge to end the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo stronghold on the award the following year.

However, he endured a dismal 2016 on a personal level.

The 24-year-old failed to score in over half the matches he has played in during those 12 months — finding the back of the net in just 29 out of the 59 matches he played.

Alcacer’s woeful record in front of goal means Enrique can ill afford to play him ahead of the misfiring Neymar.
