Chelsea appeal John Terry’s straight red card he picked up in first game back since November
Blues skipper will find out on Tuesday whether the appeal has been successful or not
CHELSEA have stuck by John Terry and appealed his FA Cup sending off on Sunday.
The Blues skipper got a straight red in his first game since November after bringing down Peterborough’s Lee Angol in their 4-1 third-round win.
Chelsea should learn on Tuesday if their appeal has been successful — or if Terry, 36, will serve a one-match ban this weekend.

Stamford Bridge chiefs had spent yesterday debating whether to fight referee Kevin Friend’s decision.
But Blues manager Antonio Conte insists defender Terry was unfairly punished.
The Italian said: “I think the decision wasn’t right. John didn’t take the player out and, secondly, Branislav Ivanovic was behind to cover.”
His Prem leaders travel to defending champions Leicester on Saturday as they look to bounce back from losing a first game in 14 at rivals Tottenham.
