Hull City attendance: Just 1,000 fans make trip to Manchester United for EFL Cup semi-final first leg tie
Hull fans didn't seem too bothered their team had made it to the semi-finals and were one giant-killing from Wembley
THE magic of the cup doesn't seem to have had much effect on Hull City fans.
While Manchester United supporters turned up in droves as usual, dreaming of a cup final against rivals Liverpool at Wembley, Hull's turnout was somewhat surprising.
There were around 1,000 fans tucked away in the upper tier at Old Trafford on Tuesday for the first leg of the semi-final.
To think that League 2 Plymouth took 9,000 fans to Anfield on Sunday in the third round of the FA Cup.
Hull, though, a team with an average attendance of 20,000 this season, saw just a fraction of that support follow them for a semi-final at Old Trafford a couple of hours along the M62.

The fans have recently stayed away from home games in protest at the club's owners.
New manager Marco Silva saw just over 6,000 turn up for their FA Cup third round tie at home against Swansea.
And, judging by Tuesday's turnout, fans still seem to be disenchanted with what's going on at their club.
Or perhaps they had a feeling Manchester United would roll over them for a ninth straight win.
