SAM ALLARDYCE is considering selling Christian Benteke to fund a January spending spree, according to reports.
Benteke arrived from Liverpool for £32million just five months ago and is the club's top scorer with eight goals.
Allardyce is without a win in four matches since taking over from Alan Pardew - and the former England boss is desperate to improve a poor squad and save the club from relegation.
According to the , Allardyce sees selling Benteke as one possible route.

The Belgian striker has already rejected a £40m move to the Chinese Super League as he would prefer to stay in south London.
Benteke has received heavy flak for his inconsistent performances this season.
His terrible marking cost Palace three goals in the 5-4 defeat at Swansea, while he missed crucial penalties in a 1-0 defeat to West Ham and in the 1-1 draw with Watford.
Benteke has eight goals this season but has not scored in his last five.
Allardyce has been told by Leicester he must pay £12m if he wants to bring Jeffrey Schlupp to Selhurst Park.
Palace have also been linked with moves for Stewart Downing and have joined the race to sign in-demand striker Jermain Defoe.
