CRYSTAL PALACE and West Brom will fight it out for unhappy Leicester star Jeffrey Schlupp after Claudio Ranieri admitted he had asked to leave the champions.

The 24-year-old wing-back has only appeared nine times for the Foxes this season and has grown increasingly frustrated with life at the King Power Stadium.

Both the Eagles and the Baggies have been long-term admirers of the Ghanian, and Sam Allardyce and Tony Pulis will both battle to secure the £12million-rated ace’s signature this month.

Their hopes of landing the star were boosted on Thursday when Leicester boss Ranieri revealed the lightning-quick star wants a move.

And the Premier League title-holders are happy to allow him to exit – but only for the right price.

Ranieri said: "I spoke with him, he spoke with the club, he’s not happy.

Schlupp, born to Ghanian parents in Hamburg before moving to England as a young child, is a product of Leicester’s academy.

He has made over 120 appearances for the club, winning the Players’ Player of the Year award in 2015.

Aside from helping them to win the league last season, Schlupp was a key part of Nigel Pearson’s side when he guided the Foxes to promotion from the Championship in 2014.
