Crystal Palace transfer news: Leicester City winger Jeffrey Schlupp completes £12m move to Selhurst Park

Wantaway star finally gets his wish to leave the King Power stadium after completing his medical at Selhurst Park

CRYSTAL PALACE completed their £12million move for Leicester City wide man Jeffrey Schlupp.

The Foxes academy graduate put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year deal after completing his medical in London.

Allardyce also offered £7m for Sunderland full back Patrick van Aanholt, but that was rejected so the Palace boss turned his attention to Schlupp who has been keen to leave the East Midlands after starting just one league game for the champions this season.



Allardyce is keen for the Ghana international to be available for the London derby at West Ham on Saturday.

Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri admitted this week the wantaway 24-year-old can leave the Premier league champions if the price was right.

Ranieri said: “I spoke with him and he spoke with the club, of course he is not happy, Jeff is a fantastic man and a fantastic player.

“I said if he wants to go he can go but after this it is important also the money for the club, If arrives the right money, he can go.”Ranieri added.

Schlupp now has his wish and will join the Eagles once the formalities of the medical and paperwork are tied up before the weekend.
