Dimtri Payet has let us West Ham fans down and the club should sell him as soon as possible

I have known about the Payet situation for a number of months now but kept quiet in the hope that it would be sorted it out eventually - but it appears that we are at the point of no return now.
After many missed training sessions, a lack of effort in those that he did attend and a clear body language that suggested he wanted to move, Slaven Bilic went public to put the club on the front foot.
Since the first month of the season our star player has craved a move back to his home country.

His family have not been settled in the country for a while and when his former club Marseille came looking for him he was determined to move.
The club took the same stance that they took last summer and said he wasn’t for sale, but it is disappointing that this time he has gone on strike to try and force the move in January.
I'm surprised the club are saying they will not sell him at any price this month, because surely this will start to devalue the player ahead of the summer.
But in fairness, I can understand why they would stand firm in public because we cannot be held to ransom by any player - they have to make a statement to other players that such tactics won't work.
I am personally very disappointed with Payet. We all saw how much Bilic supported him during the Euros, jumping onto the table when he scored.
The club honoured his performance last season by offering him a bumper new contract and even extended time off after the Euros and he repays us now by refusing to play for us again.
With this attitude I want him to leave immediately, we don't need him at the club.
We have to allow Bilic some time to rebuild team morale and loyalty to each other and the club.
The only problem is that for Bilic’s sake this improvement has to happen immediately against Crystal Palace.
