Garry Monk looks set to be handed long term contract at Elland Road
Leeds are on the march and co-owner Andrea Radrizzani is determined to build on Monk's success with new deal
NEW Leeds co-owner Andrea Radrizzani plans to open talks with boss Garry Monk about extending his deal.
The Italian has bought a 50 per cent stake of the club from controversial fellow-countryman Massimo Cellino.
And Radrizzani, 42, is keen to sort out the future of Monk, who signed a one-year rolling contract when he was appointed last June.

After Friday night’s 1-0 win over promotion rivals Derby, Leeds are up to third in the Championship and
media tycoon Radrizzani said:
“We’re in communication — myself, Massimo and Garry. All three parties have the intention to stay together.

“It is not a big issue, but sooner or later we will sit down. We will fix this. I am very confident we will fix it.”
Radrizzani is expected to buy Cellino’s other half of Leeds to take full control this summer. Cellino has been banned from football for 18 months by the FA for breaching agent rules, a suspension that starts on February 1.
But Radrizzani stressed he will not break the bank this month to try to clinch promotion.
And he revealed he plans to buy back Elland Road, which was sold to businessman Jacob Adler for £8million in 2004.
