Andy Carroll smashes West Ham to win over Crystal Palace then has a pop at wantaway Hammers star Dimitri Payet

Security guards had to be put outside the Payet poster outside the London Stadium as the club shop removed all traces of the Frenchman

ANDY CARROLL had a pop at rebel Dimitri Payet after declaring no one is bigger than West Ham.

The Geordie striker scored a sensational overhead volley in the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace.

And Carroll had a message for Payet, who has demanded to leave the Hammers, telling the Frenchman: “I don’t think any player is bigger than the club. That’s what all the lads, staff and fans think. I think 100 per cent we have answered a few critics.

West Ham have already removed all Payet merchandise from their club shop and placed a guard on a giant poster of the player following plans by angry fans to vandalise it.

Boss Slaven Bilic said: “I don’t know where he is. But the team showed it was about the team, not the individuals.”

Palace chief Sam Allardyce admitted: “At the moment, we don’t know how to get that draw which might lead to a few wins. I was pretty shocked at the end.”
