Jose Mourinho’s seven worst January transfer window signings including Maniche, Mo Salah and Emmanuel Adebayor
During two stints at Chelsea the Special One made some less-than-inspired signings, including Czech midfielder Jiri Jarosik
JOSE MOURINHO has had a quiet January in the transfer window, making no signings so far.
After splashing an outrageous amount of cash in the summer to land Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic to name just a few, there may be a reason the Special One hasn't dipped into his pockets this months.
After all, Mourinho doesn't have the best of track records in winter windows.

He is not shy of spending money... and he has bought some of the biggest names in the game.
He bought Dider Drogba, Michael Essien, Michael Ballack, Ashley Cole, Samuel Eto'o, Wesley Sneijder, Angel Di Maria, Mesut Ozil, Raphael Varane, Luka Modric, Willian and Diego Costa before moving to Old Trafford last year.
However all those deals were made in the summer sunshine.
Jose's deal done in January are a very different matter.
We take a look at the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss' worst seven January buys...
MANICHE - Dynamo Moscow to Chelsea, 2006
MOURINHO had always been a fan of the Portuguese star from their days together at Porto.
However, after bringing him to Stamford Bridge from Russian side Dynamo Moscow, Maniche was sent off on his first start.
He played just eight times for the club, before joining Atletico Madrid in the summer.
JIRI JAROSIK - CSKA Moscow to Chelsea, 2006
A PERENNIAL member of any Chelsea worst Premier League XI or Mourinho worst XI, Jarosik was instantly forgettable for his stint at the Blues.
The Czech midfielder turned out just 14 times before being shipped off on loan to Birmingham, before he was sold to Scottish side Celtic at the end of the campaign.
However, Jarosik did manage to sneak in just enough games to get his hands on a League Cup and Premier League winners' medal.
EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR - Manchester City to Real Madrid, 2011
AFTER years at Arsenal and then Manchester City, it was something of a surprise when Mourinho opted to bring the Togo international to Real Madrid on loan.
Adebayor netted just five times in 14 games for the club, but did come off the bench to help win the 2011 Copa del Rey against Barcelona.
The striker then went off to join Tottenham later that year.
BERTRAND TRAORE - Auxerre to Chelsea, 2014
TRAORE was subject to a long, drawn-out chase, but finally made the move to Stamford Bridge from Auxerre back in 2014.
However, after just ten appearances in his Blues career, the Burkina Faso international has been a disappointment.
The flying forward has been loaned out to Vitesse and Ajax and, despite impressing, seems to have no road back into the Chelsea first-team any time soon.
MARIO PASALIC - Hajduk Split to Chelsea, 2014
MIDFIELDER Pasalic joined Chelsea from Hajduk Split back in 2014 and is still there to this day.
The Croatian international, however, is yet to play a single game for the club.
Instead, Pasalic has been loaned out to Elche, Monaco and AC Milan - where he is currently playing, turning out ten times in Serie A this term so far.
MOHAMED SALAH - Basel to Chelsea, 2014
SALAH joined in the same window from Swiss side Basel, but endured an only marginally better Blues career.
Through two seasons, Salah played just 13 times in the league before he was loaned off twice - once to Fiorentina and then to Roma.
Eventually, the Egyptian winger signed for the Rome club on a permanent deal, last summer.
JUAN CUADRADO - Fiorentina to Chelsea, 2015
AFTER impressing at Serie A side Fiorentina, Cuadrado caught the eye of Mourinho.
However, after just 13 league appearances - the same as Salah - he was shipped off to Juventus on loan.
Colombian Cuadrado is still on the books of Chelsea, on his second loan to the Turin giants as Antonio Conte continues to leave him out of the reckoning.
