West Ham transfer news: Dimitri Payet agrees Marseille contract with annual salary of £6m on four-and-a-half year deal

Frenchman's move back to former club set to accelerate after personal terms were struck but transfer fee is yet to be decided

DIMITRI PAYET’S West Ham exit is growing nearer after the exile reportedly agreed personal terms with Marseille.

Payet has been banished to train with the east London club’s kids after pushing for a return to France at the start of January and is also receiving 24-hour security after his house and cars were targeted by vandals.

The midfielder is refusing to play for Slaven Bilic in order to force through the move, and has become a pariah at Chadwell Heath following his exclusion from his teammates’ WhatsApp group chat.

Marseille have already seen THREE bids rejected by Hammers chiefs, with the last one weighing in at around £22.5million.

West Ham are determined to get £30m for Payet after making him their highest-paid player on £120,000-a-week, but Marseille will not go above £25m.
