Tottenham release touching tribute video message to Ryan Mason as he recovers from fractured skull

TOTTENHAM boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed his squad recorded a special get well soon message for their former star Ryan Mason.
The ex-Spurs man fractured his skull while playing for Hull City in last week’s 2-0 defeat at Chelsea.
Mason required surgery after a sickening clash of heads with Blues skipper Gary Cahill and remains in a stable condition as he recovers at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
Poch, who has been with his side in Barcelona this week for a bit of warm weather training and team bonding, revealed that his men got in touch with their former team-mate this week.
He also confirmed that he will be visiting Mason with the team, adding: “The squad sent a special video message from Barcelona to him. He is a special player for us and for me personally.

“He grew up here at Tottenham – he is a person that we love.
“I am in contact with his family and I know he is making some progress. He is much better and has worked a little bit.
“We will see him in an hour or two. It is important to know how he is and share some time with him. It will be fantastic for him and for us.”
While Mason continues his recovery, his colleagues are preparing to face Manchester United in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final this evening.
They trail the Red Devils 2-0 from the first meeting a fortnight ago, but Tigers manager Marco Silva hopes the trauma from Mason’s shocking injury can inspire them to pull off a miracle.
He said: “It has not been an easy moment for our squad, but we need to be strong and to fight for Ryan.
“From what my players have shown me this week, they will be strong and there will be a good atmosphere inside the dressing room.
“And on the pitch, not only are we playing for our fans and ourselves, we are of course playing for Ryan also.
“It has been hard for the players to deal with what happened because Ryan is their friend. They work together all the days of the year – now we need to react as a team to support the player.
“This, I think, is the moment we need to support Ryan by going out there and doing our work because he always does a fantastic job for the team.
“He is a fantastic professional every day and we need to be the same. The best way we can help him is to keep working and be strong.”
