The former Chelsea boss' son Jose Mourinho had took to Instagram to troll his "old man" on his birthday.

The 16-year-old Fulham keeper left him a cheeky message via social media.

He wrote: "Happy birthday old man," alongside two pictures - one old, one current - of his dad.

Daughter Matilde was a bit kinder to her highly-decorated father, writing: "Happy happy birthday," complete with a family picture.

Having also managed at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, Mourinho has made many friends during his time in football.

Marco Materazzi and Alvaro Arbeloa both took to social media to wish him happy birthday, as did Manchester United's official Instagram account.

Surprisingly, former United flop Memphis Depay also had good words to say about the coach who sold him.

Depay joined Lyon in a move which could eventually rise to £21million, after failing to impress Mourinho this season.

The Dutch winger said: "[Mourinho’s] words were nice. In Manchester United, I always worked as I had to.

“For me personally, it wasn’t all that easy. I needed to play, but we didn’t have a bad relationship.

“He’s a great coach and a great person. Now we’ll see here how I play. In any case, I think he has said good things about me.”
