THE Hammers are planning a £9million bid for Hull defender Harry Maguire, while Leeds are looking at a loan deal for striker Ashley Fletcher.

Slaven Bilic is keen to bolster his defence to ensure a strong second half of the season after a disastrous start to the campaign.

West Ham have already signed Robert Snodgrass  in a £10m deal, and some Hull fans are not pleased that their best players are being sold when they are in a relegation dog fight.

Bilic has guided the Hammers to 10th in the table, some 12 points off 18th place Crystal Palace, in what looked like a season where the East Londoners would be fighting for survival.

As far as Hull are concerned they sit second from bottom on just 16 points and a return to the Championship looms despite the fact they are on a good run of form.

The Tigers narrowly lost out on a trip to Wembley in the EFL Cup final, despite beating Manchester United 2-1, their 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford cost them their second final in four seasons.

Jake Livermore has already left Hull for West Brom, if Maguire is to follow suit it will leave the club in a very fragile state defensively.

Hull Boss Marco Silva however, is confident he can keep the club in the Premier League and build on from the success of survival, although it appears that is easier said than done.
