The 31-year-old Guedioura played in the Hornets’ 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Millwall on Sunday after returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty.

The attacking midfielder has only appeared 14 times in total for Watford this season and wants more first-team football.

The arrivals of M'Baye Niang and Mauro Zarate have shoved him further down the pecking order and he looks unlikely to be included in their 25-man Premier League squad.

Hull have already confirmed the signing of Italian defender Andrea Ranocchia from Inter Milan on loan.

Marco Silva is trying to bring in some much-needed reinforcements for his depleted squad after the departures of Robert Snodgrass and Jake Livermore earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Boro boss Aitor Karanka yesterday voiced his displeasure at only being able to recruit Rudy Gestede and Patrick Bamford this window.

Asked why Boro had missed out on players, the Spaniard raged: “That is not a question for me. I have tried my best.

“The club knew my thoughts one month and a half ago.

“I always said the aim in the transfer window was to improve the squad, and at the moment, we haven’t done that. If no one else comes in, I will have to try my best.
“We have two days. We will be disappointed tomorrow if nobody signs.”
