Steven N’Zonzi snubs Manchester United, City and Arsenal interest to sign new three-year contract at Sevilla

Former Stoke midfielder not interesting in a move away from La Liga giants as they mount serious title challenge

STEVEN N'ZONZI has snubbed Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal interest in order to sign a new three-year contract at Sevilla.

The former Stoke and Blackburn midfielder, 28, will now remain at the La Liga giants until at least 2020.

N'Zonzi had been the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent weeks as his form for high-flying Sevilla saw the Premier League's big-boys come in for him.

However, the Frenchman will now stay in Spain with the club saying: "With this renewal the club recognises the exceptional performance of the French midfielder, undoubtedly one of the most outstanding players in the current season, both in Spain and in Europe."

The ex-Prem man won the Europa League in his very first season in the south of Spain and has helped Jorge Sampoali's side launch a serious La Liga title charge this term.

Sevilla sit just four points behind leaders Real Madrid this term, level on points with giants Barcelona.

N'Zonzi has turned out 27 times in all competitions this season, netting three times in the process.

He initially joined Sevilla from Stoke in 2015 following three years at the Britannia Stadium and another three at Ewood Park, where he played a total of 216 games for both clubs.
