Alfie Barker: Vile troll who abused Bournemouth star Harry Arter is banned from football for seven months
Former Hitchin Town and Codicote FC player also handed £250 fine and warned over his future conduct
DISGRACED non-league footballer Alfie Barker has been banned from the game for seven months after sending vile messages to Harry Arter on Twitter.
The Bournemouth star was targeted in the wake of his side’s 3-3 draw last month, with Barker taking aim at Arter’s stillborn daughter.
The tweet read: “Big hype just for a disappointment like the nine months leading up to your child’s birth.”
Barker, 18, has since been sacked by Hitchin Town and Codicote FC, where he was on loan for the season.
And after admitting an FA charge at a hearing on Tuesday, Barker is now suspended from all football-related activity until August 1.
Barker was also fined £250 and warned over his future conduct.
He apologised for his comments despite initially claiming his account was hacked and blamed his outburst on mixing ADHD medication with alcohol.
