West Brom and Stoke fans clash whilst steward takes down ballboy’s name after he kept hold of the ball

WEST BROM'S victory over Stoke had nothing but chaos going on around the pitch as fans fought and a ball boy had his name taken down by a steward.

The young boy had a steward towering over him with a notepad - demanding for his name - after refusing to give Stoke keeper Lee Grant the ball.

The ballboy was accused of hogging the ball

Whilst there was also drama in the stands as other stewards were called into action to defuse violence in the crowd after the final whistle.

The violence in the crowd broke after the match as stewards formed a barrier between the two sets of supporters.

Another factor which added more tension to the fixture was the fact Saido Berahino made his debut for Stoke against his former club.

James Morrison scored the only goal of the game in the first half - making it three consecutive league wins at the Hawthorns.

The only goal of the game came in the sixth minute as Morrison scored his third goal in five matches.

Salomon Rondon came close near the half-hour mark after he skipped past his marker but his powerful was well saved by the keeper.

Stoke nearly equalised in the 44th minute against the run of play through Ryan Shawcross after his deflected header hit the inside of the post.

But the Baggies hung on to claim all three points - as Stoke have failed to win in their last three fixtures.
