ADAM LALLANA is set to put pen to paper on a new £150,000-a-week deal after becoming a key player for Liverpool.

The England international has emerged as one of the standout performers in Jurgen Klopp's side and is now set to commit his future to the club.

According to , Lallana is on the verge of signing a new deal at Anfield until 2021.

The 28-year-old has gone on to prove his worth in Merseyside since arriving in 2014 for £25million from Southampton.

And now Liverpool will hope to reap the rewards from tying down the creative midfielder down as he will now play at the peak of his career at Anfield.

Lallana has featured in a deep role under Klopp and has made 26 appearances for Liverpool this season, netting seven times.

Lallana is set to become the latest player to commit his future to the Reds, following in the same steps as Philippe Coutinho - who agreed a five-year deal last month.

The Brazilian talisman became the highest paid player at the club, pocketing £200,000-a-week on his new terms.
