Burnley manager Sean Dyche and Chelsea’s Antonio Conte are best bosses in the Prem, claims Martin Keown

SEAN DYCHE had estabished himself as Sean Dyche as one of the two best managers in the Premier League, according to Match of the Day 2 pundit Martin Keown.

Former Arsenal and England central defender Keown insists the unassuming Burnley boss should take his place at the top table alongside along Chelsea's Antonio Conte.

Burnley maintained their fiercesome home record with a terrific 1-1 draw against Premier League leaders Chelsea on Sunday when new signing Robbie Brady's stunning free kick earned a late equaliser.

The Clarets actually created the best chances, with Chelsea failing to register even a single shot on target in the second half.

Keown ranks Dyche ahead of some of the more popular managers around like Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, and his former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

He said: "The whole game was compelling stuff, very much so. They are the best two managers I think in the Premier League at the moment, Sean Dyche and Conte.

"Two different styles, two different systems, and Burnley really took Chelsea out of their comfort zone today and they worked their socks off, but with intelligence and good quality.

"Conte knows his tactics, every player goes on to that pitch knowing his role, but you have to say equally for Sean Dyche’s team, they did as well, and maybe we don’t shout enough about our English coaches.

"You look at the resources he has there and what he is achieving, four or five of those players went down before, he has come back this time and he is using that extra knowledge.

"He is using a system that I doubted at the start of the season, 4-4-2, but that was a tactical masterpiece today from his team."

Ex-Chelsea player and manager Ruud Gullit praised Conte'sdefensive organisation.

He said: "The Italians, they always think about the defence first. At the beginning of the season, when they were winning 3-0, 4-0 or whatever, the first thing he said is I am content that we did not concede any goals, that’s a typical Italian, he wants to have that solid base."
