EDINSON CAVANI has revealed he recently snubbed a move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward is considered to be one of the deadliest strikers in world football.
And it seems Diego Simeone made a bold attempt for Cavani’s signature in a bid to turn Atletico’s dismal season around.
The capital club are already seven points off fierce rivals Real in the table – and could go 13 points behind if Zinedine Zidane’s men win their two games in hand.
Summer signing Kevin Gameiro has disappointed with just six goals in La Liga.
While Antoine Griezmann has only nine and Fernando Torres just five.
But Simeone will have to continue with his lot for the remainder of the campaign, with Cavani explaining why he snubbed a Vicente Calderon move in favour of staying at the Parc des Princes.
