NO RASH DECISIONS

Marcus Rashford wants to STAY at Manchester United despite a lack of action under Jose Mourinho

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic the main man first-team chances up front are limited for the teenager

MARCUS RASHFORD is completely happy at Manchester United and not even discussing a new contract – let alone stalling on one – according to .

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic the star man up front and £300,000-a-week captain Wayne Rooney brooding on the bench waiting to rejoin the attack, first-team chances up front are limited for Rashford.

However the MEN says there is no issue with the player fearing for his future after Mourinho gushed about the youngster's dedication to continuing his development at Old Trafford.

The Special One has even made allowances for the forward suffering a dip in goals and form because of how sensational his breakthrough season was.

Mourinho said: “He says he is learning so much in the technical meetings and training sessions so I think his future will be brilliant.

"His present is good and we need him.

“I’m always happy with Marcus Rashford’s contribution. He is one of those players that when he is on the pitch he tries, he always gives something.

“I know that last season under no pressure, in front of the goal, the goal was bigger.

“I know this season the expectations are higher, the pressure is higher and the goal is smaller.

“The second year after a season of explosion and expectation, everything changes.

“He's not anymore the surprise kid, he's a player that everybody respects, that everybody knows, that everybody knows the qualities and it's normal that he's in this period of transition where he's still a kid but he's not anymore the new kid in town."
