Usain Bolt wants to join Manchester United with he quits athletics this year… and the Olmpic sprint legend claims he will be as good as Wayne Rooney
USAIN BOLT claims he would be as good as Wayne Rooney if Jose Mourinho signed him up for Manchester United.
The sprint legend is set to retire from athletics this year – and has his eyes on a move into football.
Bolt, 30, has already lined up a week of training with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

But the United fan – who recently called in to MUTV’s post-match talk show - has his heart set on a dream deal at Old Trafford.
And the nine-time Olympic gold medallist reckons he would be pretty handy if he were to swap his spikes for studs.
In fact, even though he admits he has left it too late to become the “best player in the world”, Bolt reckons he could give Red Devils and England skipper Rooney a run for his money.
Speaking after winning Sportsman of the Year at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco on Tuesday night, the Jamaican said: “I've always wanted to try play football so that's in the pipeline, we'll see what happens.
“I'm going to get a chance to train at Dortmund which is good.

“I think I'm going to go there for a week and just to train and feel it out.
“I've had people suggest different teams or ways we could get into football so we've been looking into those things but were not sure what's going on yet.
“But at any level, I just want to see if I'd be any good, because I play football all the time with my friends and I think I'm at a good level.
“If I train and put some good work in I think I could be pretty good.
“I'm not gonna say I'm going to be the best footballer in the world. But I'd be at a good level, I'd say. Maybe Wayne Rooney level.”
Rooney, 31, became United’s all-time leading goalscorer earlier this season – but has not been a regular starter under Mourinho.
The former Everton striker has been heavily linked with a sensational £1million-a-week summer move the China.
And, with the futures of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford also in doubt, Mourinho is in the market for a marquee striker in the next transfer window.
He is eyeing up £85million moves for Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann and Italy frontman Andrea Belotti.
But free-agent Bolt would be a cheaper option should the athlete prove he not only talk a good game.
