After watching his side thrash Palermo 4-1, he said: "How's my English?

"I started learning before Milan, now I've left it. They say I'll go to Arsenal? You all say that, I just listen."

Allegri, who has already admitted to taking English lessons, is on course to win his third straight Serie A title with the Old Lady.

But the 49-year-old believes he doesn't get the credit he deserves in his homeland and his relationship with the Italian press is making the ex-AC Milan boss seriously consider his future.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe and Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel are also thought to be top of Arsenal's agenda to replace Wenger.

Furious fans have been calling for the manager's head this week after suffering a 5-1 humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

And Wenger has admitted he could leave the club this summer but remains adamant it won't be his last job in management.
