Liverpool transfer news: Reds begin talks over £20m Mario Gotze summer move from Borussia Dortmund

LIVERPOOL want to sign Borussia Dortmund star Mario Gotze and have open talks over a £20million summer move.
The 2014 World Cup winner for Germany could rejoin former boss Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, with a deal for the attacking midfielder looking likely.

Liverpool wanted to sign the 24-year-old last summer from Bayern Munich - but he opted to go back to his first club Dortmund instead as the Reds could not offer European football.
But Gotze has not played as well as he did in his first spell under Klopp at the Westfalenstadion and wants to move on again, this time to England.

He has not managed to start as many games as he would like under current manager, playing just 16 times - and Arsenal target - Thomas Tuchel, which has seen Liverpool renew their interest.
Klopp revealed this week that Liverpool are planning ahead of the summer, saying: "We are in talks with different people - players, agents, all that stuff.
Dortmund paid £20m to re-sign Gotze but will want get that the majority of that fee back.
Gotze established himself as one of Europe's brightest talents when he came onto the scene for Dortmund in 2010 - and went on to score the winner against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final.
It was also reported this week that Gotze has been offered to Barcelona - but the Spanish giants did not reply.
