ARSENAL managed to come out on top and avoid embarrassment with an FA Cup victory over Sutton United.
Following their 5-1 humiliation to the hands of Bayern Munich, their was an even bigger spotlight on their fifth round tie at Gander Green Lane.
Lucas Perez opened the scoring in the first half before Theo Walcott notched his 100th goal for Arsenal, whilst Roarie Deacon shone for Sutton.

Wayne Shaw is hungry...
The stand-out moment in the match was when Sutton keeper Wayne Shaw scoffed his face with a pie during the second half.
With the non-league side being 2-0 down, the keeper lightened up the home fans at Gander Green Lane.
Spectators and people watching from home could not believe their eyes as he munched on a pie in the dugout.
Making the moment even better, was the fact Shaw did this in front of Arsenal's side who are in incredible shape.
In modern-day football players are on strict diets are physically at the top of their game and the thought of eating a pie is unthinkable - especially on the bench!
Granit Xhaka continues to be ill-disciplined
The 24-year-old has not managed to shake off his bad-tempered reputation after picking up another needless yellow card against Sutton.
You would think the Switzerland international would have learned his lesson after returning from a four-game.
His hefty punishment saw him miss the FA Cup tie against Southampton and Premier League clashes against Southampton, Chelsea and Hull.

Sutton avoid embarrassment in dream FA Cup clash
Many expected the National League side to be battered by Arsenal, but they held their own against the Premier League outfit.

Wenger did not field his strongest XI, but it still featured the likes of Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi, with Alexis Sanchez coming on from the bench.

Considering they only train twice a week, Paul Doswell's side gave a good account of themselves and their fitness held up well against the elite competition.
Sutton will rue missed chances
With Sutton captain Jamie Collins and forward Deacon coming incredibly close, Doswell's side will know they had the opportunities to score.
The non-league side had two huge opportunities in the second half within a matter of minutes.
Collins rose above anyone else as David Ospina flapped at a corner but his header just went over the bar.
But then Deacon, who was one of the best players on the field, unleashed a strike from 25-yards out but his effort rattled off the crossbar.
