Wayne Rooney transfer news: Manchester United star snubbed mega payday in Chinese Super League as he wants to break Peter Shilton’s England record

WAYNE ROONEY rejected a potential move to China because he wants to break Peter Shilton’s all-time England caps record.

The Manchester United forward now has 119, just six short of the legendary Three Lions keeper.

And Rooney knew that a move to the Chinese Super League would probably have ended his inter- national career.
