MARIO GOTZE'S illness has been identified as Myopathy, according to reports.
The Borussia Dortmund star has been ruled out indefinitely through 'metabolic disturbances'.
German outlet reports the German World Cup hero has been diagnosed with the rare muscle disorder which could ruin his promising career.

Symptoms of Myopathy include muscle weakness and fatigue, and it can delay the resting period needed for an athlete after strenuous exercise.
Getting the rare disorder later in life can be down to thyroid disease - where not enough hormones are produced - or issues in the adrenal glands.

Dortmund released a supportive statement earlier this week wishing Gotze well in his recovery.
Michael Zorc, the club's sporting director, said: “We’re happy to have now uncovered the reasons for Mario’s difficulties."
The German giants are likely to hold more tests to discover how Gotze developed the problem.
Gotze said: "I’m currently undergoing treatment and will do everything in my power to be back in training and helping my team to achieve our common goals as soon as possible.”
His shock diagnosis has seen footballers pay touching tributes to the former Bayern Munich star.
Jack Wilshere posted a classy Instagram message, writing: "Get well soon my friend," alongside a picture of Gotze in the on-loan Arsenal ace's shirt.
