HAIR TODAY, GONE...

Willian plays it straight with new hair-do that sees Chelsea star swap his Afro for plaits

Midfield team-mate Eden Hazard likes the Brazilian's stylish choice as he posts first picture of new look on Instagram

HE used to have the perfect Afro to keep the rainy English climate at bay...

Now Willian is likely to to get a little wetter given that he is sporting tight plaits.

Maybe he was impressed by David Haye's hair-do, or maybe this was the result of a sudden hair-raising moment.

Whatever, the Chelsea midfielder seems happy to share his new look on Instagram, albeit via Eden Hazard's account.

"Nice new hair cut for my man," announced fellow-Blue Hazard.

Willian's hair used to look a lot different...

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Anzhi in 2013, Brazilian midfield bomber Willian has made the odd adjustment to his trademark Afro.

But nothing like this.

Often the scissors have come out for the odd trim but through it all his prominent 'barnet' has made him one of the most recognisable players in the Premier League.

Now he hopes his new look will inspire Chelsea to Emirates FA Cup success over Manchester United in this weekend's eagerly-waited quarter-final.

No matter what the result it will hardly be a case of hair today, gone tomorrow for the Blues hold a seemingly unnassiable lead over Tottenham and Manchester City at the top of the Prem.
