His hopes of lifting the prized-trophy ended in emphatic fashion last week as the Gunners were thumped 5-1 by Bayern Munich at home, ensuring a 10-2 aggregate defeat.
Ozil missed that clash through illness, but he returned to action to help them defeat Lincoln on Saturday to seal a place at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals.
And to add further hope to the club’s supporters that their wing wonder will remain in north London, the 28-year-old spoke of his love for the capital.
He added: “I can imagine living here [London] after my career.
“Perhaps splitting my time between London and Germany.”
