Manchester United reject Memphis Depay admits he was ‘not good enough’ for boss Jose Mourinho
Dutchman has gone on to impress at Lyon following his £16million move in the summer from Old Trafford
MEMPHIS DEPAY struggled to come to terms with Jose Mourinho rejecting him at Manchester United and did not understand his decision.
The Lyon star was flogged by the Special One for £16million in January after struggling to break into the first team.
The 23-year-old has no ill feeling towards the Red Devils boss despite not understanding why he did not gain the trust of Mourinho.

Depay told beIN Sport: "I have no bitterness towards Mourinho.
"I did what I had to do in training. Of course, I didn't understand his choices, but he was the boss. I had to accept those choices.
"I think I was not good enough for him. But it's okay, I'm showing my quality here.
“I'll be back to the top and we'll see what will happen.

Depay has since proved his worth since moving to Ligue 1, scoring five goals in nine appearances.
