According to Portuguese paper O Jogo, the person assisted him by pointing to the right answer in the background.

The 29-year-old said he was desperate to get his hands on a license when he was on the verge of joining Real Madrid.

Coentrao feared he would not be able to pass his test in Spain due to the language barrier.

His desperation led him to go to the Vile Verde, which is the driving school he obtained the license with.

The Champions League and Euro 2016 winner was informed the academy take payments to allow their students to cheat in exams.

This is one of many cases relating to the Vile Verde driving school which has gone before the Braga magistrates.
