Chelsea are believed to have already held discussion over landing midfield starlet Tiemoue Bakayoko - who scored along with Fabinho to knock City out of the Champions League.
And the report claims that any move Blues make for the 22-year-old will be blocked if Fabinho goes.
Spanish journalist Guillem Balague claims that Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with Bakayoko.
The France midfielder has been one of the most-impressive performers for the Ligue 1 leaders this season, and could be the first big name out of the door this summer.

According to Balague, Bakayoko already looks set for Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
However, Chelsea still have work to do to get the deal over the line.
Balague posted on Twitter: “Monaco’s Bakayoko has agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
“Next step is for Chelsea to pay Monaco more than anybody else for the midfielder.”
Manchester United and City have also shown interest in Bakayoko.
But it appears the neighbours will have to move fast if they are to land the highly-rated youngster.
