CHELSEA club captain John Terry is facing a huge dilemma this summer, according to his former team mate Michael Ballack.

Terry is facing an uncertain summer with no contract offer from Chelsea, the experienced defender could end his 19 year playing career at Stamford Bridge in May.

The 36-year-old has watched on from the bench as Antonio Conte's side stride towards their second Premier League title in three years.

Terry last played in the FA Cup win at Wolves and featured in the league as a late sub in the 5-0 thrashing of Everton in November.

The club legend will have plenty of offers coming in from China, the Middle East and the MLS.

However, Blues owner Roman Abramovich could even offer him a coaching position or ambassadorial role.

The former Bayern Munich and Chelsea midfielder who spent four years with Terry at Stamford Bridge, has experienced the same situation, and admits the defender has some serious thinking to do over the next few months.

Ballack told Spy Sports:"He's such a Chelsea boy and they love him there - he is a player with that history and charisma."

"I know what it means if your career comes to an end and you're getting older."

"You don't know whether you extend your contract, play for another club or go abroad to America.

"I'm sure he has some options but if you think long-term, you have to feel comfortable with the decision." The former Germany international added.

"If you don't feel comfortable with what you want to do then don't do it. That's what I can advise.

"It's not always easy to make a decision because you must be 100 per cent convinced."
