Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand mentors Burnley defender Michael Keane after knowing him since he was a kid
Retired defender says the England international is the same as him when he was 24 years old
RIO FERDINAND has known Michael Keane since he was a kid at Manchester United and now acts as a mentor for the Burnley defender.
The retired defender and the current England international are friends as they still share the same management company.
They meet up for dinner and talk about football as well as relax together as Ferdinand also meets up with his brother, Will.

Rio Ferdinand wrote in : "I've known him since he was a kid at Manchester United.
"He and his brother, Will, have the same management company as me and I mentor them.
"I stay in contact with Keane by text and when I'm in Manchester we go for dinner, talk football and just chill.
"He's like I was at 24: a great sponge. He's from a great family and had a good school upbringing.
"He's very mature for his age - one you'd want your daughter to bring home.

"He never blames others, which is refreshing because not all the younger generation of players are like that.
"Michael is a throwback - and other youngsters should look at him for inspiration."
The Clarets star made his debut for England in the 1-0 defeat to Germany and is expected to start for the Three Lions in their World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.
Keane has made 33 appearances for Sean Dyche's side and has chipped in with two Premier League goals.
