Chelsea skipper John Terry bumps into Anthony Joshua ahead of Wembley superfight

The Stamford Bridge legend branded the popular British heavyweight champion as a 'monster of a man' and a 'true gentleman'

OUT OF FAVOUR Chelsea skipper John Terry met Anthony Joshua on Sunday and admitted he would fear a 'right-hander' from Britain's IBF heavyweight world champion.

The long-serving Blues' legend appeared to be enjoying some downtime during the international break as he bumped into the heavyweight boxer.

Terry took to his social media account to share a picture of the duo.

'Had the pleasure meeting @anthony_joshua today,' he wrote. 'An unbelievable fighter and an absolute monster of a man.

'I wouldn't want to take a right hander from AJ. A true gentleman. Thanks mate.'

Joshua, who is currently undergoing an intense training camp and with the aim of outgunning his Ukrainian opponent Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley next month.

Terry, 36, is facing an uncertain summer with no contract offer from Chelsea and the experienced defender could end his 19 year playing career at Stamford Bridge in May.

The club legend will have plenty of offers coming in from China, the Middle East and the MLS.

However, Blues owner Roman Abramovich could even offer him a coaching position or ambassadorial role.

Chelsea currently sit 10 points clear at the top of the table and will return to Premier League action on Saturday as they host London rivals Crystal Palace.
