MANCHESTER UNITED failed to break down a stubborn West Brom at Old Trafford, to draw for the eighth time at home this season.
It was another frustrating day for Jose Mourinho, who again watched his side labour at home and severely dent any chance of finishing in the top four after Liverpool's Merseyside derby win earlier.
As per usual, the home side had the lions share of possession, but it meant nothing as United huffed and puffed for 45 minutes without forcing Ben Foster to make a save.

This is nothing new, team have rocked up at Old Trafford and parked the bus for more than 20 years.
But in recent years the current group of players fail to move the ball quickly enough to break teams down.
United looked like Mourinho had dusted off Sir Alex Ferguson's hair dryer as the home side woke up and pushed for the opener after the break.
Anthony Martial went close with a long range effort, Henrikh Mkhitaryan went through but Foster was there to smothered his shot.
Former United man Darren Fletcher should have opened the scoring when Craig Dawson forced his has into the box, but Eric Bailly made a vital block.
Not even the introdcution of Wayne Rooney could spark United into life, the United captain had little impact on a game United desperately needed to win.
Marcus Rashford forced a great save out of Foster with a long stunning 30 yard range free kick and the boos at the final whistle summed up what was another predictably dull home display.
But credit to West Brom who stuck to thier task and made it difficult for Unmited all game to take four points from a home win againmst Arsenal and a draw at Old Trafford

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport after being asked if it was an equal match: "You think the game was equal? I can smile win, lose or draw. I am sorry to say, it is a silly question.
