Liverpool looked to have overcome the poor start when Philippe Coutinho equalised in the 40th minute before Divock Origi's header in the second half gave them the lead.
But Jurgen Klopp's men were undone again by a long throw that they failed to clear, allowing King to slot past Simon Mignolet and earn a draw.
Both teams came into this clash on the back of a four-match unbeaten run, with Liverpool having won three and drawn won and Bournemouth drawn two and won two
Simon Mignolet caused the Kop a few palpitations when he was almost caught on the ball outside his box by Benik Afobe in the fourth minute.
Afobe was alive in the box early on to take advantage of Georginio Wijnaldum's poor backpass and give Bournemouth the lead

WHAT THEY SAID
"When my son is doing something that’s not right, probably I have a big part of the responsibility. I should have explained better. The boys are obviously not my sons but the situation is not too different – it’s my responsibility.
"I will tell them that they have a part on it, how you can imagine, but there is nothing else to say about it. I said it pretty early in the season: bad things are my responsibility and good things are the responsibility of the players."
