Bosnian news outlet Reprezentacija claim that he signed a pre-contract with the Gunners a few days ago, and rejected a host of European clubs.
He has reportedly turned down interest from Serie A giants Juventus, and was wanted by fellow Premier League clubs Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
His versatility shows why he is so in-demand, as he is able to play as a centre-back and a defensive midfielder, while he also possesses an eye for goal having chipped in with three strikes this season.
