But then Dortmund regained their one-goal advantage with another goal of the season contender when Sokratis Papastathopoulos scored a stunner in the 34th minute.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang then wrapped up the win when he netted his 26th Bundesliga goal of the campaign in the 86th minute after Ousmane Dembele selflessly squared the ball to the Gabonese star.
Borussia Dortmund sit in fourth spot in the table – a whopping 15 points behind leaders Bayern Munich, while Eintracht Frankfurt sit in ninth spot.
